It’s an incredible honor to collaborate with Kohei Fujito (Ainu artist, Bear Clan // @kohei.fujito), and for his willingness to share his cultural symbolism with us, as well as our community.

Kohei began his career as a wood carver, and started combining traditional Ainu motifs with new forms. His art reminds us to look toward our relationships with others and nature with reverence.

We collaborated with two talented multidisciplinary artists from the island of Java: Arwin and Soni. Arwin brings us prints filled with sea creatures and mythical characters created using the traditional Indonesian textile art form of batik. Soni’s vibrant, spontaneous artistry is on display in the Mt. Merapi print, inspired by the cycles of destruction and rebirth on Indonesia’s most active volcano.
